Afternoon Session: Discover the Movies Airing on TV Globo This Week, June 8–12, 2026

During Valentine’s week, the traditional afternoon movie slot on TV Globo will lean into romance and emotional storytelling. From June 8 to June 12, the broadcaster’s Sessão da Tarde lineup features a mix of love stories, light comedies, and dramatic relationship-centered films, airing after the soap opera Além do Tempo.
On Monday, June 8, the featured film is We Live in Time (Todo Tempo que Temos), a 2024 romantic dramedy starring Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield. The story follows Almut, a spirited chef, and Tobias, a recently divorced man trying to rebuild his life, whose unexpected meeting leads to a deep relationship and, eventually, a family. Their bond is later tested by a long-hidden truth that threatens everything they have built together. The film explores love, forgiveness, redemption, and the emotional complexity of human relationships.
On Tuesday, June 9, TV Globo shows Meu Sangue Ferve por Você, a 2024 Brazilian musical comedy inspired by the real-life romance of singer Sidney Magal and Magali West. Set in 1982, the film tells the story of love at first sight after the couple meets during a beauty contest. Sidney, portrayed by Filipe Bragança, is a romantic music star who rose to fame in the 1970s and 1980s, performing alongside names such as Alcione and Emílio Santiago. To win Magali’s heart, he must overcome resistance from her family, friends, her manager, and even her own doubts.
On Wednesday, June 10, the afternoon slot features Marry Me (Case Comigo), a 2022 romantic comedy starring Jennifer Lopez, Owen Wilson, and Maluma. Jennifer Lopez plays Kat Valdez, a global pop sensation who is set to marry her famous fiancé in a high-profile live ceremony after their hit song tops the charts. But moments before the wedding, she discovers he has been unfaithful. In the middle of the chaos, Kat impulsively chooses a stranger from the audience, Charlie, a math teacher brought along by his daughter, to marry instead. The story blends celebrity glamour, public spectacle, and an unexpected love story.
There will be no Sessão da Tarde on Thursday, June 11, due to the broadcast of the FIFA World Cup.
The week closes on Friday, June 12, with All My Life (Por Toda a Minha Vida), a 2020 drama based on real events. The film follows Jenn Carter and Sol Chau, a young couple whose engagement is cut short when Sol is diagnosed with terminal cancer. Faced with heartbreaking news, their friends race against time to help the couple celebrate their wedding in just two weeks. The film highlights love, resilience, friendship, and the urgency of making the most of every moment.
TV Globo notes that the weekly movie schedule is subject to change without prior notice.
