San Diego Lights Up with Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band, Fiesta del Sol and Seahaven

Live music in San Diego County from May 28 through June 2, 2026 spans veteran rock, a beachfront festival, and a new-wave emo lineup. One of the biggest draws is Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band, led by the former Beatles drummer who has played San Diego many times with the rotating supergroup. This version of the All-Starrs includes Steve Lukather of Toto, Colin Hay of Men At Work, Warren Ham, Hamish Stuart, Gregg Bissonette, and Buck Johnson. The show is built around a setlist of signature songs from each member, along with Starr’s own Beatles and solo classics such as “Yellow Submarine,” “Octopus’s Garden,” “With a Little Help From My Friends,” and “I Wanna Be Your Man.” Lukather is expected to lead Toto favorites including “Rosanna,” “Africa,” and “Hold the Line,” while Stuart is likely to revisit Average White Band staples like “Pick Up the Pieces” and “Cut the Cake.” If the Pechanga date is missed, Starr is scheduled to perform again the next night, May 29, at Humphreys By the Bay on Shelter Island.

Another major event is Fiesta del Sol, the 45th annual free beachfront celebration in Solana Beach, held Saturday, May 30, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Fletcher Cove. The family-oriented festival features live music, food vendors, a craft village, drink options, bounce houses, and games. Saturday morning opens with Hullabaloo, a local children’s folk duo that has earned national recognition from Parents Choice and NAPPA Gold. The music lineup for Saturday includes The English Beat, Common Sense, the fABBA Show, The Pine Mountain Logs, Atomic Groove, Sullvn, and Jessie Lark. Sunday’s bill adds Los Lobos, The McCharmlys, Seapoodle, Cody Carter, Easy Wind, and The Morgan Wallen Experience. A Pancake Breakfast fundraiser benefiting the Solana Beach Firefighters will take place Sunday morning from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m.

The week also brings a show by Seahaven, the indie rock and post-hardcore band known for cinematic textures and emotionally driven songwriting. Fronted by Kyle Soto, the group emerged from the early 2010s emo scene with Winter Forever, later expanded its sound on Reverie Lagoon: Music For Escapism Only, and returned from hiatus with Halo of Hurt in 2020. The band is preparing a self-titled album due June 5 on Pure Noise Records, following the singles “Midnight Hour,” “February Flowers,” and “Infinite Blue.” Their tour stop in San Diego includes support from Phoenix-based Breakup Shoes, whose melodic indie-pop/rock catalog includes “Unrequited Love (& Other Clichés)” and “Nicotine Dream,” plus opening act House & Home from Richmond, Virginia, a band that blends 1990s alternative rock with modern emo and post-hardcore influences.

Overall, the week offers a mix of nostalgia, community festival energy, and emotionally charged alternative music across multiple San Diego-area venues.
