Country Music Star Cancels Upcoming Shows Amid Mysterious Health Concerns

Justin Moore has announced that he will step away from touring for a short period because of undisclosed health issues, forcing him to cancel several upcoming shows. He shared the news in an Instagram post on June 8, explaining that he needs time to focus on his health and that the decision was made for himself and his family. Moore said he appreciates the understanding and support of fans and added that he hopes to return to the stage later this summer.
The country singer’s announcement drew immediate support from fellow artists in the comments. Jake Owen urged Moore to take care of himself and his family, while Caylee Hammack said that shows can wait and sent love his way. Priscilla Block also responded with a short message of support.
Although Moore had performances booked through mid-November, his schedule has changed because of the health-related break. A representative confirmed that he is still expected to perform at the Knox County Fair in Knoxville, Illinois, on July 9. Before that, he had been set to play several June dates, including opening slots for Riley Green on the “Cowboy As It Gets” tour and two headlining shows in Dewey Beach, Delaware, on June 11 and 12.
Moore has built a long career in country music since releasing his self-titled debut album in 2009. His song “Small Town USA” became his first entry on the Billboard Hot 100, and he has since released seven more studio albums. Over the years, he has earned industry recognition, including two Inspirational Country Music Awards in 2011 for his version of Rhett Akins’ “If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away.” He was also nominated for Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the 2012 American Country Awards and later won New Artist of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards in 2014.
In October 2024, Moore released his latest album, This Is My Dirt, which features collaborations with Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley and Randy Houser. After the album’s release, he spoke about how moving from Nashville back to Arkansas helped restore his personal happiness and, in his view, saved his career. He said he would not still be performing for a living if he had not made that move, adding that he believes an artist must be happy in order to perform at their best.
Moore’s break comes as he prioritizes his health, but he has indicated that he expects to return to touring later in the summer.
