Tribeca Film Festival 2026 Lineup: Shorts, Feature Films and More Revealed

The 2026 Tribeca Film Festival is bringing a wide range of new films and documentaries to New York, with lineup titles spanning intimate character dramas, music projects, experimental shorts, and star-driven features. Among the notable premieres is Sara Bareilles: Good Grief, a documentary following Bareilles as she records her new album. The festival also includes Earth, Wind & Fire (To Be Celestial VS That’s the Weight of the World), a project directed by Questlove, alongside several other music-focused titles that highlight the intersection of performance, identity, and storytelling.

The feature and short-film slate features a mix of established filmmakers and rising voices. Sophia Takal directs Act One, which stars Ella Beatty, Ari Graynor, Nate Mann, Elizabeth Reaser, Sinclair Daniel, Robert Sean Leonard, and Tavi Gevinson. Other narrative entries include Deepfake, General Admission, Holo, Ponderosa, The Last Day, The Revisionist, Only What We Carry, and In Memoriam, each bringing together a broad range of actors and filmmakers.

Tribeca 2026 also showcases a strong documentary presence. The Lorraine, directed by Sam Pollard, joins titles such as How to Feed a Dictator, Kids Like Me, The Haunting of Pennhurst, threeASFOUR: Full Circle, IX XI, and Alicia Keys: Girl From Hell’s Kitchen. These projects explore subjects ranging from politics and disability to fashion, culture, and music. Several of the documentaries are backed by notable executive producers and creative partners, reflecting the festival’s continued emphasis on nonfiction storytelling.

The lineup further includes high-profile acting and directing combinations. Katie Holmes directs, writes, and stars in Happy Hours, with Joshua Jackson also appearing. Zach Woods helms The Accompanist, starring Susan Sarandon and Aubrey Plaza. Rodrigo García’s The Last Day stars Alicia Vikander and Wagner Moura, while David Wain’s The Revisionist features Alison Brie, André Holland, Tom Sturridge, and Dustin Hoffman. Drake Doremus directs Next Life, starring Emilia Clarke, Edgar Ramírez, and Jack Farthing, and Frank Whaley’s Rain Reign features Paul Rudd and Jeremy Sisto.

Other films in the program include They Fight, Clean Hands, The Leader, Kiloran Bay, and You Tryna Say You Love Me?, adding to a lineup that blends intimate drama with social themes and genre variety. Musical films and music-driven projects also appear throughout the festival slate, including Beautiful, Archbishop Harold Holmes, Mr. Electric Blue, and Everyone’s A Star, each tied to prominent artists or bands.

Overall, Tribeca 2026 presents a diverse roster of premieres that reflects the festival’s broad curatorial approach, balancing documentaries, fiction, and music-centered storytelling.
