Bill Gates Reportedly Accused of More Than 20 Affairs During Marriage to Melinda

Bill Gates, long portrayed as a global philanthropist focused on technology, health, and the future of humanity, is facing fresh scrutiny over his personal life and his past ties to Jeffrey Epstein. According to a recent report, the renewed attention is not only raising questions about Gates’ relationship with the disgraced financier, but also about his conduct during his marriage to Melinda Gates.

The report says Gates admitted in a February town hall with foundation employees that he had two affairs with Russian women referenced in Epstein’s emails. People familiar with the discussion reportedly said the admission caused surprise among staff, especially because allegations involving more than 20 affairs had also surfaced during his divorce proceedings. Bill and Melinda Gates ended their marriage in August 2021, and the article notes that there is no way to know whether all of those allegations were ever proven.

The new reporting also challenges Gates’ previous defense that his association with Epstein had nothing to do with the women who were often seen around the financier. The article alleges that Epstein played a more active role in some of Gates’ interactions than Gates has publicly suggested. It claims Epstein traveled with Gates and introduced him to the head of the Nobel Peace Prize committee. The report also says Epstein was involved in negotiations between Gates and his employees, and that Gates posed for photos with Epstein and the women around him before or after some of their meetings.

Gates has maintained that his dealings with Epstein were professional and that he did not engage in unlawful conduct. His spokesperson said Gates regrets spending time with Epstein, describing it as a “mistake,” and said he is willing to answer questions from the House Oversight Committee. The spokesperson also said Gates supports releasing the Epstein files so victims can obtain justice.

Gates is scheduled to testify before Congress in July about his relationship with Epstein. His testimony will be delivered off camera, a condition he has already secured. Even so, the renewed allegations are likely to intensify public scrutiny of one of the world’s best-known business figures, whose reputation has long rested on a carefully managed image of ethical leadership and large-scale philanthropy.

The developing controversy combines two separate but related issues: Gates’ past association with Epstein and new claims about his personal behavior during his marriage. Together, they are adding pressure to an already damaged public image and raising further questions about how closely Gates worked with Epstein and what those interactions involved.
