Senny Mayulu set to extend PSG contract until 2031

Paris Saint-Germain have reached a full agreement with Senny Mayulu over a contract extension that will keep the 20-year-old midfielder at the club until June 2031. The deal reflects PSG’s determination to secure one of the most promising players developed at their academy for the long term.

Mayulu is highly valued inside the club. He is appreciated by head coach Luis Enrique and by sporting adviser Luis Campos, both of whom see him as a player with major potential. PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi is also said to be a strong admirer of the youngster. The club believes extending his contract is an important step in protecting a homegrown talent seen as part of its future core.

One of Mayulu’s biggest strengths is his versatility. Since gradually joining the first team, he has been used in almost every position across midfield and attack. Only the goalkeeper and centre-back roles have not been part of his development so far. While PSG’s staff believe he will eventually settle into a more defined position, his ability to adapt to different tactical roles is viewed as a major asset. His reliability is also a key factor, with the player considered rarely injured and consistently available.

Mayulu’s commitment to PSG has remained clear despite interest from several major European clubs, including Bayern Munich and Chelsea, who have monitored his situation in recent months. However, his personal desire has always been to continue progressing at PSG, the club where he was formed and to which he remains deeply attached.

The young French U21 international is also very popular with supporters. His bond with the Parisian fanbase grew stronger during the 2025 season, when he scored in the Champions League final. That goal cemented his place in the hearts of PSG fans and further underlined his growing importance to the club.

With this extension, PSG are not only rewarding a promising academy graduate but also reinforcing their strategy of building around young, versatile, and dependable talent for the future.
