Bandai Namco reveals exact start time for today’s Tekken 8 patch 3.01.01 server maintenance

Bandai Namco has confirmed the rollout timing for Tekken 8 Patch 3.01.01, the update that will prepare the game for Kunimitsu’s early access release in Season 3. Kunimitsu is the first character scheduled for Season 3 and will be followed later by Bob, Roger Jr., and Yujiro Hanma from the Grappler Baki series.

Kunimitsu will be available as a standalone purchase on June 1, while players who own the Season 3 Pass will get early access beginning May 28. For players in the western United States, that early access window opens on May 27, reflecting the time zone difference. To support the character’s arrival, a new patch is required before she becomes playable for eligible users.

According to Bandai Namco, Patch 3.01.01 will go live on May 28 at 0:00 CEST, which corresponds to May 27 at 3:00 p.m. PDT and May 28 at 7:00 a.m. JST. Before the patch is deployed, Tekken 8 servers will undergo maintenance starting May 27 at 11:30 p.m. CEST, or 2:30 p.m. PDT and 5:30 p.m. EDT. The maintenance is expected to last about 30 minutes, after which the update should become available.

The publisher said the patch is intended to support Kunimitsu’s early access release and fix unintended behavior in the game. Full details of the update will be provided in the patch notes on the day of release. That means players should expect additional information about balance changes, bug fixes, and any other adjustments once the patch is officially live.

The timing announcement comes ahead of a busy period for Tekken 8 players, as Season 3 begins adding new content to the fighting game’s roster. Kunimitsu’s arrival marks the first major addition in the new season, and the early access period will allow Season 3 Pass holders to play the character before the wider standalone launch.

Bandai Namco shared the maintenance and patch schedule through the official Tekken social media account, noting that all online content will be unavailable during the maintenance period. Players planning to jump into online matches around the update window may want to account for temporary server downtime.

With Patch 3.01.01, Tekken 8 is moving into its next content cycle, and the rollout will ensure Kunimitsu is properly supported across all versions of the game. More details are expected to follow when the patch notes are published on release day.
