Streamer DeenTheGreat Arrested on Attempted Robbery Charge
Influencer boxer and streamer DeenTheGreat has been arrested in Miami-Dade County following an alleged incident that authorities say was captured on a livestream. DeenTheGreat, whose real name is Nurideen Shabazz, was booked Wednesday morning and was being processed at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami, according to reports. He was arrested on a felony attempted strong-arm robbery charge, and his bond was listed as “to be set.”
The arrest stems from allegations made by a woman identified as Destiny Aleman, who told police that Deen allegedly tried to take her phone after she was removed from a yacht. According to the account, the situation escalated after other men on the yacht tried to speak with her, despite Deen warning her not to engage with anyone else. She alleged that once she got off the yacht, Deen grabbed her arm and attempted to take her phone, causing a minor scratch.
Authorities also reportedly reviewed Ring camera footage from the yacht, which allegedly showed Deen yelling for someone to grab the woman’s phone while trying to stop her from recording as she walked away. The incident was said to have unfolded during a livestream, drawing more attention because of the public nature of the events.
Before the arrest, DeenTheGreat had been spending time with boxer Adrien Broner on several livestreamed outings that gained significant traction online. Earlier in the week, the pair appeared with rapper Sexyy Red, and the group was seen having fun together while matching outfits and even dyeing their hair red. On Tuesday, Deen and Broner later linked up with streamer Deshae Frost and rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine for another night out that also went viral.
That night reportedly included another tense moment when Deen appeared upset after learning that a girl may have lied about her age to be around the group. A separate clip circulated online showing a heated argument after he allegedly dropped her off in the middle of the road, prompting criticism from viewers and additional discussion across social media.
News of the arrest quickly spread online, with social media users reacting with a mix of disbelief, criticism, and support. Some commenters suggested that Deen should be more careful with his reactions, while others defended him and questioned the accusations. Several users also expressed surprise, saying they had recently watched the livestreams and did not expect the arrest to follow so quickly.
The situation has now become the latest viral controversy involving DeenTheGreat, whose recent stream appearances have kept him in the spotlight. As the case develops, many online observers are watching closely to see what happens next with the boxer, streamer, and social media personality.
