DeenTheGreat, whose real name is Nurideen Shabazz, was booked Wednesday morning and was being processed at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami, according to reports. He was arrested on a felony attempted strong-arm robbery charge, and his bond was listed as “to be set.”
The arrest stems from allegations made by a woman identified as Destiny Aleman, who told police that Deen allegedly tried to take her phone after she was removed from a yacht. According to the account, the situation escalated after other men on the yacht tried to speak with her, despite Deen warning her not to engage with anyone else. She alleged that once she got off the yacht, Deen grabbed her arm and attempted to take her phone, causing a minor scratch.
Authorities also reportedly reviewed Ring camera footage from the yacht, which allegedly showed Deen yelling for someone to grab the woman’s phone while trying to stop her from recording as she walked away.
