Marriott Launches Luxury Day Pass Access for Summer Travelers

Marriott International has entered a global partnership with ResortPass, expanding day-access opportunities at thousands of hotels and resorts beyond the more than 500 Marriott properties already listed on the platform. The move comes as ResortPass reports a sharp rise in demand for hotel day-use experiences, including a 148% year-over-year jump in Memorial Day weekend day-spa bookings, signaling continued growth in the “daycation” trend.
The partnership is designed to make high-end hotel amenities available to travelers who want resort-style experiences without booking an overnight stay. Through ResortPass, guests can purchase day passes to pools, spas, cabanas, waterparks, and wellness facilities at selected properties, often for a fraction of the cost of a room. The growing interest reflects strong consumer demand for flexible leisure options, especially during summer travel season.
Several Marriott-affiliated properties are highlighted as standout daycation destinations. In Houston, the Marriott Marquis offers its rooftop Texas-shaped lazy river, infinity pool, private cabanas, and access to the 7,000-square-foot Pure Spa. In Maui, The Westin Maui Resort & Spa gives day guests access to six pools, a 270-foot waterslide, an interactive splash zone, virtual golf, and a luau with fire-knife dancing.
Families looking for water-based entertainment can visit Tidal Cove Waterpark at JW Marriott Miami Turnberry, which features a kids’ pool, splash pad, lazy river, and seven waterslides, along with premium cabana service. In Arizona, JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa offers heated pools, hot tubs, a lazy river, and daybed upgrades with misting fans and butler service.
For beachside relaxation, The Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale provides a heated oceanfront pool and spa access, including citrus-infused steam rooms, saunas, and relaxation lounges. In Mexico, Almare Isla Mujeres offers an adults-only, all-inclusive day experience with private beach access, gourmet food and drinks, water sports, and transportation from Cancun.
The expansion underscores a broader shift in travel behavior, with more consumers seeking luxury experiences, wellness escapes, and family-friendly recreation without the expense or commitment of a full resort stay. As hotels look for new ways to monetize amenities and attract local and regional visitors, day-access packages are becoming a more prominent part of the travel market.
