Lorie warns fans not to touch her at concerts after being struck by a fan

Lorie has addressed fan concerns after an incident at her concert at the Zénith of Strasbourg on May 16. Several people in the audience noticed that, after going down into the crowd to meet fans, the singer was holding her stomach near the end of the show. In a story posted on Instagram on Friday, Lorie explained why she seemed hurt, after receiving messages from concertgoers who had been present that night.
According to her explanation, she was accidentally hit while she was in the audience dancing with fans. She said the blow caused significant pain and left her with a bruise under her ribs. Speaking calmly and without anger, Lorie made clear that the incident was not intentional, but it did cause discomfort during the performance. She chose to clarify the situation directly to avoid any misunderstanding among her supporters.
The singer also used the moment to remind fans of an important request for her live shows: she asked people not to touch her when she comes into the audience. Lorie said that when she comes down to dance and share a moment with the crowd, she wants fans to enjoy the exchange through smiles, eye contact, and the shared atmosphere, but without physical contact. She noted that this has happened several times before, with people hurting her unintentionally, and repeated that she would like spectators to respect that boundary in the future.
At 43 years old, Lorie is currently on her “Lorie Party” tour, launched in October last year. The national tour includes concerts in venues, Zénith arenas, and festivals, with a festive setlist built around her biggest hits. The show revisits songs from her career in a celebratory format designed to bring fans together.
The tour is not limited to France. Additional dates are planned this summer in Canada, Belgium, and Switzerland, extending the run beyond the French dates. The concert in Strasbourg was part of this ongoing series of performances, which has drawn longtime fans of the singer and created moments of close interaction between Lorie and her audience.
Her message on Instagram was framed as a simple reminder rather than a complaint. She thanked fans and kept a positive tone while asking them to be careful during these crowd interactions. The episode highlights both the enthusiasm of her audience and the risks that can come with artists stepping off the stage to connect more directly with the public.
