Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau Reach Major Relationship Milestone Ahead of Their First Anniversary
Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau have reportedly taken a major step in their relationship by introducing their children to one another as they approach their first anniversary together. According to US Weekly, Perry’s 5-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove, met Trudeau’s three children: sons Xavier, 18, and Hadrien, 12, and daughter Ella-Grace, 17. A source said both Perry and Trudeau believe it is important to blend their families carefully and at a pace that feels comfortable for everyone involved.
The report says Perry, 41, and Trudeau, 54, are very serious and that their relationship has deepened over the past several months. The insider added that Perry did not expect to enter another relationship so soon after her split from Orlando Bloom last year, but Trudeau came into her life at the right time and surprised her. Perry shares Daisy Dove with Bloom, while Trudeau shares his three children with estranged wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau.
Another source told US Weekly that Trudeau’s new $3.1 million home in Montreal is close to the house he once shared with his former partner and is large enough to accommodate the blended family. Even so, Perry still sees California as her home base, and the couple is continuing a long-distance relationship. Despite the distance, the insider said it has not been a problem because the two have found a rhythm that works and make an effort to see each other as often as possible.
Dating rumors first started in July 2025 after Perry and Trudeau were seen having a quiet dinner in Montreal. Trudeau was also spotted at Perry’s sold-out Lifetimes concert in Canada that same month. In December, Perry made the relationship Instagram official by sharing intimate photos from a trip to Japan.
A previous Page Six source said Trudeau is “crazy” about Perry and believes she is “the perfect woman.” The insider also described the pair as highly compatible, saying they align on politics, children and French food. Their relationship has been unfolding publicly while also navigating busy family lives and distance between the United States and Canada.
Perry ended her engagement to Bloom in June 2025 after a long on-and-off relationship that lasted about 10 years. Perry and Bloom welcomed Daisy in 2020. Bloom has recently been seen with new girlfriend Luisa Laemmel. Trudeau separated from Sophie Grégoire Trudeau in 2023 after 18 years of marriage, and the former couple is not yet legally divorced.
The reported family introduction suggests Perry and Trudeau are moving forward with caution, while keeping their children and long-term family dynamics at the center of the relationship.
