Even With New Film, “Sessão da Tarde” Hits Its Lowest Ratings of the Year, Says Notícias da TV

The Globo afternoon movie slot recorded its lowest audience of 2026 so far on Monday, June 8, after being affected by the weak performance of the rerun of Além do Tempo. The broadcaster aired the TV premiere of All the Time We Have (Todo Tempo que Temos, 2025), starring Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh, and the film scored 7.4 points in the Greater São Paulo ratings between 3:35 p.m. and 5:10 p.m. The result fell below the previous low for the year, which had been 7.6 points with The Tooth Fairy (O Fada do Dente, 2010) on March 20.
The film follows the relationship between Almut, a talented and unpredictable chef played by Florence Pugh, and Tobias, a recently divorced man portrayed by Andrew Garfield. What begins as a contrast between two very different personalities turns into a deeply emotional romance, but a hidden truth kept secret for years threatens the couple’s future and everything they have built together.
Other Globo programs also posted weaker numbers on Monday. Além do Tempo had its lowest Monday performance since returning to the air in the special edition lineup, with 9.6 points. Before that, its worst Monday had been 8.8 points, recorded on May 12 and May 16. Jornal Hoje also hit its weakest Monday result of the year, drawing 9.7 points, below the previous low of 9.9 points on January 12. Its lowest rating of 2026 overall remains 9.4 points, registered on January 29.
Jornal da Globo matched its lowest rating of the year at 5.1 points, the same score it had already reached on June 2. On Band, Apito Final posted its weakest result since moving to Mondays, with just 0.4 point. The program’s previous low had been 0.5 point on March 2.
In Globo’s overall 24-hour average for June 8, the network led comfortably with 9.8 points. Among its highest-rated programs were Jornal Nacional with 22.8 points, Coração Acelerado with 20.6 points, and A Nobreza do Amor with 17.4 points. The evening lineup remained strong, even as some daytime programs lost audience earlier in the day.
Record averaged 3.3 points in the 24-hour total, with Cidade Alerta SP standing out at 7.5 points and Jornal da Record reaching 6.8. SBT closed the day with a 2.4-point average, led by Programa do Ratinho at 4.1 points and SBT Brasil at 3.4. Band finished with 1.0 point in the full day average, with Jornal da Band posting 3.5 and Brasil Urgente SP reaching 3.4.
Each point in the Greater São Paulo market represents 78,780 households.
