Brentford Confirm Pre-Season Friendlies Against Frankfurt and Rennes
Brentford have confirmed two pre-season fixtures as part of their preparations for the 2026/27 Premier League campaign, including an away trip to France and a home match against German opposition.
The Bees will begin with a visit to Stade Rennais on Saturday 8 August at Roazhon Park in Rennes, with the game scheduled to kick off at 6pm local time. Supporters will be able to attend the fixture. Earlier the same day, the two clubs are also set to meet at Brentford’s training centre, with that match due to kick off at 11am local time and also open to fans.
Rennes finished sixth in Ligue 1 this season and were led by striker Esteban Lepaul, who finished as the division’s top scorer with 21 league goals. The French side will provide Brentford with a strong test as they continue their summer build-up.
Brentford’s second announced friendly will take place on Saturday 15 August, when Eintracht Frankfurt visit west London for a pre-season game at the Gtech Community Stadium. Frankfurt ended the Bundesliga season in eighth place and also competed in the league phase of the Champions League, adding further quality to Brentford’s summer schedule.
Ticket details for both fixtures, including sales windows, are expected to be released in the week commencing Monday 22 June.
In addition to the two confirmed matches, Brentford are also planning to spend time in Portugal for a private training camp later this summer. No matches are scheduled during that camp, with the focus set to remain on preparation and conditioning ahead of the new league season.
The announced fixtures give Brentford a varied pre-season programme, with games against top-flight opposition from France and Germany before the start of the 2026/27 Premier League campaign.
