Anushka Sharma Acquires Stake in Footwear and Apparel Brand Agilitas Sports

Film actor-producer Anushka Sharma has taken a minor stake in Agilitas Sports, a company that manufactures and sells sports footwear and apparel, according to people familiar with the development. Her husband, cricketer Virat Kohli, is already a co-investor in the startup, which was founded by former Puma India executives.
As part of her involvement, Sharma will work with Agilitas on developing a yoga-focused product line under the company’s sportswear franchise brand One8. Agilitas cofounder and chief executive Abhishek Ganguly said Sharma is partnering with the company by investing capital and helping build yoga-wear, though he did not disclose the size of her investment or any other financial terms of the arrangement.
Agilitas Sports has been building out its presence in the sportswear market with One8 as a key brand in its portfolio. The company acquired Kohli’s sportswear label One8 last year, in a deal that also brought the cricketer on board as a minority investor and business partner. Kohli had ended his long-running eight-year endorsement association with German sportswear major Puma before making the move.
According to earlier reports, Kohli’s investment in Agilitas was worth about ₹40 crore, following the conclusion of his ₹110-crore deal with Puma. The transaction marked a shift from a pure endorsement relationship to a broader business partnership, with Kohli taking an equity position in the company and aligning his brand with its long-term growth plans.
Sharma’s entry adds another high-profile name to Agilitas’s investor base and extends the family’s association with the company. While Kohli has already been linked to the business side of the brand through his investment and One8 partnership, Sharma’s role appears focused on product development, especially in the expanding yoga and wellness apparel segment.
Yoga wear has become a growing category in India’s activewear market as consumer interest in fitness, comfort-driven clothing and wellness-oriented lifestyles continues to rise. By bringing Sharma into the fold, Agilitas may be aiming to strengthen its appeal among women consumers and broaden the reach of One8 beyond conventional sportswear.
Agilitas was founded by executives who previously worked at Puma India, and the company has positioned itself as a challenger in the domestic sportswear space. The addition of both Kohli and Sharma gives the brand a strong celebrity-backed profile that combines investment, brand visibility and product collaboration.
The development comes at a time when celebrity-led investments in consumer brands are becoming more common, especially in categories linked to fitness, fashion and lifestyle. For Agilitas, the partnership with Sharma could help deepen its brand identity and support expansion in newer product lines under the One8 umbrella.
