Hansika Krishna Says Subscription Video Was a Momentary Mistake, Not for Money or Fame, Promises to Donate the Earnings

Krishna Kumar’s younger daughter, Hansika Krishna, has responded publicly to the controversy surrounding an Instagram subscription video that became widely discussed on social media. In a long note shared on Instagram under the title “What I have to say,” Hansika said the incident was the result of a brief moment of poor judgment on her part and that she has been living with intense guilt and emotional pain for the past month. She said she does not want to justify the act, only explain her side after remaining silent for several weeks.
Hansika said the video was posted just three days before the release of a music video she had acted in along with her sister, who had reportedly worked on the project for more than a year. She argued that if she had intended any harm, she would never have done something that could affect her sister’s career or hard work. She strongly denied allegations that the act was done for money or publicity, saying she already earns enough to support herself and that she and her family are not chasing fame.
She also addressed the intense online backlash that followed, saying criticism is expected for public figures but that the level of abuse went far beyond that. According to Hansika, some people treated the issue like content for their own social media growth, repeatedly making harsh videos and using hurtful language against her and her family. She said it was painful to see how much hatred people could direct at someone over an issue that did not personally affect them.
Hansika added that the emotional fallout of the incident was felt mainly by her and her family. She apologized to everyone who felt disappointed or hurt because of her actions and thanked her family and friends for standing by her during a difficult period. She also said that the money generated from the sudden increase in subscription activity after the controversy was donated entirely to charity and that she did not keep any of it for personal use.
Following her statement, Hansika’s mother Sindhu and her sisters expressed support in the comments section. Sindhu wrote that her daughter is the heartbeat of the family and that she will always stand with her. Ahaana, Ishani, and Diya Krishna also left affectionate messages in support. Several social media users praised Hansika for speaking openly about the matter and said they admired her honesty.
In her note, Hansika said the incident taught her difficult but valuable lessons and expressed hope that time would help people forgive her and see her as the person they have known so far.
