Balanço Geral Breaks Record in New Time Slot, Draws More Viewers Than SBT and Band Combined

On Monday, May 25, 2026, Record’s local edition of Balanço Geral for Greater São Paulo delivered its biggest audience of the year after moving to a later time slot, according to TV ratings data. Hosted by Eleandro Passaia, the program reached an average of 6.0 points and peaked at 7.4 points, with a 15.5% share between 11:29 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The performance surpassed its previous 2026 record of 5.7 points set on March 12 and, at its height, drew more viewers than SBT and Band combined.
The ratings showed strong competition in the same daytime window. SBT averaged 3.2 points, supported by the local edition of Primeiro Impacto, Chaves, and the Mexican soap Meu Coração É Teu. Band registered a 2.3-point average, with Jogo Aberto, Os Donos da Bola, and the start of Melhor da Tarde contributing to its performance.
Another highlight of the day was Quem Ama Cuida, which continued its upward trend and recorded its highest audience so far in São Paulo, reaching 22.6 points. The soap has been gaining traction and became one of the day’s strongest performers in the market.
Also notable was the national version of Primeiro Impacto, which achieved its best audience in four years. Airing from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., the SBT morning newscast averaged 4.3 points, its highest result since November 1, 2022. The figure indicates a significant improvement for the program in the early-morning slot.
In Globo’s lineup, several programs posted solid numbers throughout the day. Bom Dia São Paulo opened with 8.0 points, followed by Bom Dia Brasil at 7.6, Encontro com Patrícia Poeta at 6.4, and Mais Você at 7.2. The station’s local newscasts also performed strongly, with SP1 at 10.6, Globo Esporte at 10.4, and Jornal Hoje at 10.4. Later in the afternoon, Avenida Brasil reached 15.1, while A Nobreza do Amor rose to 18.9. In prime time, SP2 scored 20.3, Coração Acelerado 21.2, and Jornal Nacional led the night with 23.5 points.
Record’s schedule also showed a competitive prime time, with Cidade Alerta SP at 8.3, Jornal da Record at 7.7, Coração de Mãe at 6.4, and Reis at 4.1. SBT maintained a moderate performance across its entertainment and news offerings, including SBT Brasil and Programa do Ratinho. Band’s top results came from news and sports programming, with Jornal da Band and Brasil Urgente SP both at 3.4 points.
In the Grande São Paulo market, each rating point represents 78,780 households.
