Cedae to perform preventive maintenance at Japeri Water Treatment Plant on Tuesday (09)
Cedae will carry out preventive maintenance on the Japeri Water Treatment Station on Tuesday, the 9th, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. During this period, the unit’s operation will be suspended so teams can perform cleaning, conservation work, equipment inspections, and structural maintenance.
According to the company, the intervention is aimed at ensuring the regularity and safety of water production, while also strengthening the efficiency of the system. The shutdown is temporary and the station will resume operations once the work is completed.
Preventive maintenance is part of the routine measures used to preserve the reliability of water treatment infrastructure and reduce the risk of unexpected failures. By pausing operations for a planned inspection and servicing cycle, Cedae seeks to keep the plant functioning under safer and more stable conditions.
The work at the Japeri facility includes tasks that help maintain the physical structure of the station as well as the operational performance of its equipment. These actions are intended to support continuous service quality and improve long-term system management.
The company did not report any additional details about possible impacts on water supply during the maintenance window. However, the interruption of operations is limited to the scheduled timeframe, with production expected to restart after the completion of the services.
The maintenance reflects Cedae’s ongoing efforts to monitor and preserve essential water supply assets in order to protect operational reliability. Such preventive actions are often carried out to reduce wear on equipment, identify potential issues early, and maintain proper conditions for treatment and distribution.
Once the cleaning, review, and conservation procedures are finished, the Japeri Water Treatment Station will return to normal activity. The measure is designed to support the safety and continuity of water production for the system served by the facility.
