Lonsdale appears as DS Reid after Charity decides to report the rape she suffered at the hands of Dr Todd, who had been blackmailing her for weeks and threatening to expose the true parentage of baby Leyla. The storyline reaches a turning point when Todd sexually assaults Charity, prompting her to go to the police.
