Annapurna Yojana: When Will the ₹3,000 Payment Be Credited After Form Submission? Can You Check the Status?

West Bengal has launched the Annapurna Yojana, a direct benefit transfer scheme under which eligible women will receive Rs 3,000 every month in their bank accounts. Many applicants have already submitted forms online, and a common question now is when the money will be credited and how to check application or payment status.
According to official information, financial assistance under the scheme will be sent through DBT, or Direct Benefit Transfer, only to Aadhaar-linked bank accounts. The payment will be released after the application is verified, the documents are checked, and the bank account details are confirmed. If any information is incorrect or if the verification process is incomplete, the transfer may be delayed.
Applicants can check the status of their application on the government’s social security portal after submitting the form. To do so, they need to log in to the portal and select the “Application Status” or “Track Application” option. They must then enter their application number, Aadhaar number, or registered mobile number, followed by OTP verification. Once the process is complete, the current status of the application will appear on the screen.
If the portal shows “Approved,” “Verified,” or “Payment Processed,” it means the application has been accepted and the payment is being processed. If the status shows “Pending Verification,” the documents are still under review and the payment has not yet been released.
Officials say that if the Aadhaar number and bank account are not properly linked, the DBT transfer may fail. For that reason, applicants are advised to check in advance whether their Aadhaar-linked bank account is active and working correctly. They should also ensure that all details provided in the application form and supporting documents are accurate and complete.
Government sources have said that once verification is finished, the Rs 3,000 assistance will be credited in phases to eligible beneficiaries’ accounts. Applicants are therefore being advised to keep checking their status regularly after submission.
The scheme is expected to provide monthly financial support to women who meet the eligibility criteria, with the government using digital payment systems to ensure direct and transparent transfer of funds. As the application process continues, many beneficiaries are monitoring their status closely to find out whether their form has been approved and when the first installment will arrive.
