Reality TV Star’s 4-Year-Old Son Airlifted to Hospital After Bouncy Castle Accident

Jess Wright has shared that her 4-year-old son, Presley, was airlifted to hospital after a frightening bouncy castle accident at a birthday party left him struggling to breathe. The former “The Only Way Is Essex” star said the incident happened when Presley was launched from the top of the inflatable, falling about 3 meters onto a hard wooden floor. She described the moment as a “really scary” and “freak” accident that silenced the entire party and left her deeply shaken.

According to Wright, Presley briefly passed out after the fall, prompting immediate emergency treatment. She said they were taken by ambulance to the trauma unit in London, where doctors considered serious injuries including broken ribs and spinal damage before giving the family a much-needed update. After several hours of observation, Presley was released from hospital with no injuries apart from a few bruises.

Wright said the experience was especially alarming because Presley was diagnosed with bicuspid aortic valve, a congenital heart condition, when he was two years old. She explained that she and her husband, William Lee-Kemp, were already very cautious about their son’s health and safety, and this incident left them “traumatized.” She added that while the accident could not have been prevented, she would be more careful in future if a bouncy castle is placed on a wooden surface rather than mats or grass.

The reality star thanked the families at the party, as well as the ambulance crew and doctors at the Royal London Hospital, for helping her son in the emergency. In another post, she shared a photo of Presley on a stretcher and called it the “scariest day” of her life, saying she had been thankful to God every day that he was okay after witnessing how serious the situation looked.

Wright later shared a more positive update, posting a photo of Presley playing in a hospital bed and confirming that he was recovering. The incident has drawn attention to the risks of bouncy castle accidents, particularly when inflatable equipment is used on hard surfaces.

Jess Wright rose to fame on “The Only Way Is Essex,” appearing on the ITV reality series from 2010 to 2016 before leaving after 16 series. Since then, she has appeared on other British reality shows including “Celebrity Karaoke Club,” “Dance Dance Dance,” and “Cooking with the Stars.” She married Lee-Kemp in 2021 in Mallorca, Spain, and the couple welcomed Presley the following year.
