Heather Locklear Says She Lives Far From Hollywood and Avoids the Social Scene

Heather Locklear offered a rare glimpse into her life away from Hollywood while appearing on the talk show Hollywood & Devine. During the conversation, Locklear said she had no hesitation joining the show, even though hosts Dru Hammer and John Luciano had only recently launched it. Luciano told her, “You’re a friend. You’re not a Hollywood friend,” and Locklear responded that she would “do anything” for them. Hammer said it was notable that Locklear still showed up without making excuses, unlike some people in the entertainment industry.
Locklear did not view her appearance as unusual and said she tends to keep company with people who are similar to her. When Hammer suggested that she would only spend time with kind and genuine Hollywood figures, Locklear replied that she does not really spend time with Hollywood people at all. She explained that she lives far away and has done so for many years, saying it has been that way for “40 years and stuff like that.” Her comments suggested that she prefers a quieter, more private lifestyle outside the entertainment spotlight.
The actress, best known for Melrose Place and Dynasty, has largely stepped back from the Hollywood social scene, but she has still attracted public attention because of her personal life. In April, a representative for Lorenzo Lamas confirmed that he and Locklear were dating. The pair made their first public appearance together at the Chiller Theatre Expo on April 26, 2026.
Their relationship drew additional notice when Lamas accompanied Locklear as her date to her daughter’s wedding in May. Locklear’s daughter, Ava, who is 28 and shares parents with musician Richie Sambora, married Tyler Farrar at the Rosewood Miramar in Montecito, California. The event brought renewed media interest in Locklear’s family life and her connection with Lamas.
Locklear’s remarks on the talk show reinforced the image of a celebrity who has intentionally distanced herself from the usual Hollywood environment. Rather than describing herself as part of the industry’s inner circle, she emphasized personal loyalty, comfort, and long-standing relationships with people she trusts. Her comments, combined with her recent public appearances and relationship with Lamas, show a chapter of her life that is less focused on fame and more centered on personal connections.
