Yan Diomandé révèle son admiration pour le PSG

Paris Saint-Germain’s treble-winning momentum has carried into the summer transfer window, with the club already focusing on strengthening its squad after finishing the 2025/26 season in style by winning a second consecutive Champions League title. While Julian Alvarez remains the main target of the summer, PSG are also looking to add quality on the wings, and one of their preferred options is RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomandé.

The 19-year-old has enjoyed a strong first season in Germany, recording 13 goals and 10 assists in 36 matches across all competitions. That form has quickly put him on the radar of several major European clubs, including PSG, Real Madrid and Liverpool. The Premier League side have reportedly identified him as a possible long-term successor to Mohamed Salah. Leipzig are aware of the growing demand for the Ivorian talent and are said to be demanding €100 million for a player who still has four years left on his contract.

Reports in recent weeks indicated that PSG had already made progress in their pursuit of Diomandé and that the player had given a positive response to a move to the French champions. Diomandé has also previously spoken about his ambition to join a top European club, saying he wants to keep progressing and play at the highest level. He avoided naming any specific destination, but made clear that he dreams of moving to one of Europe’s elite teams.

On the eve of the friendly between France and Ivory Coast in Nantes, Diomandé added further intrigue to the transfer saga by revealing his long-standing affection for PSG. Asked about his future and the club’s interest, he said Paris was his childhood club and suggested his father was also a supporter of the team. He stressed, however, that he is not focused on his next move just yet, insisting that his priority remains the World Cup and that his future will be decided later.

The player’s comments do not guarantee a transfer to Paris, but they strengthen PSG’s position in a market where they are looking to build on their European success. With Leipzig setting a high asking price and rival clubs monitoring the situation, Diomandé is shaping up to be one of the summer’s most closely watched transfer stories.
