Alex Hall Addresses Rumors Following Selling Sunset and Selling the OC Talk

Alex Hall has addressed the future of her reality TV career after Netflix put Selling the OC on pause following four seasons, saying she is treating the end of the spinoff as “the end of an era.” Speaking on the June 2 episode of her “Pretty Dirty” podcast, Hall said season 4 felt like her strongest installment yet, adding that she stayed composed during tense moments and felt she had matured on camera. Her comments came after reports circulated that Selling the OC would not move forward with another season for now.

Hall also pushed back on speculation that she would be transferring to Selling Sunset, the Los Angeles-based flagship series in the Selling franchise. She said several articles suggesting she is joining the show were inaccurate and emphasized that no official decision has been made. According to Hall, conversations about a possible appearance were brief and informal, and she has not signed on to the series.

The reality star acknowledged that a move to Selling Sunset could make sense professionally because many of her clients are relocating from Los Angeles to Orange County, making referrals between markets a natural part of her business. Even so, she said she is not currently committed to appearing on the show. Hall noted that the cast for a potential new era of Selling Sunset appears to be in flux, which makes it difficult to know what the final lineup will be.

Hall said she is already familiar with several members of the Selling Sunset cast, including Heather Rae El Moussa, Bre Tiesi and Christine Quinn, but still described the idea of joining the series as intimidating. She said being a standout figure on one show does not necessarily guarantee an easy fit on another, especially when the audience and filming environment are different. Hall suggested that the social dynamics could be unpredictable and that people can behave differently on camera than they do in everyday life.

Her Selling the OC costar Fiona Belle, meanwhile, was more optimistic about Hall’s chances on the Los Angeles show. Belle said Hall would “kill it” on Selling Sunset because of her direct, authentic personality and argued that the franchise could benefit from that energy.

Hall remained cautious, however, saying she feels Orange County is still where her real estate priorities are centered. She explained that she wants to continue building her business, expanding her client base, and developing a team under her leadership. Taking on clients in both Orange County and Los Angeles while also filming a reality series in a different market, she said, would be too demanding at this stage. For now, Hall appears focused on her work in Orange County rather than making an immediate transition to Selling Sunset.
