Tribeca Festival 2026: Aubrey Plaza, Susan Sarandon, H.E.R. and More Announced

The 25th Tribeca Festival opened on June 3 in New York City, drawing a wide range of celebrities to celebrate film, television, games, and storytelling across multiple events. The annual festival, founded by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatkoff, marked its milestone year with premieres, panel appearances, and welcome gatherings that brought together actors, musicians, filmmakers, and media personalities.

Among the attendees were Aubrey Plaza and Susan Sarandon, who appeared at the premiere of “The Accompanist.” Paul Rudd took the stage for a Storytellers conversation with Seth Meyers, while Sara Bareilles attended the premiere of “Sara Bareilles: Good Grief.” Zach Braff, Edward Burns, Tony Shalhoub, and the acting duo Lily Rabe and Hamish Linklater also made appearances during the festival’s early events.

The program highlighted a mix of premieres and live conversations. Jemaine Clement, Nicola Walker, and Yali Topol Margalith attended the premiere of “Alice And Steve,” while Peter Frampton was present for the premiere of “Frampton.” At the opening-night premiere of “Earth, Wind & Fire,” the legendary group performed onstage, joined by Robert De Niro, H.E.R., Chuck D, Flavor Flav, and Questlove. The event underscored the festival’s focus on honoring influential artists and cultural icons while introducing new work to audiences.

Tribeca’s Jury Welcome Lunch brought together another large group of notable guests, including Jane Rosenthal, Julie Menin, Robert De Niro, Tommy Dorfman, Haley Lu Richardson, Nina Dobrev, Lilly Wachowski, Benedict Wong, Carrie Mae Weems, Whoopi Goldberg, Lena Waithe, Nas, Katie Couric, Cazzie David, and Julian Schnabel. The gathering reflected the festival’s broad reach across entertainment, journalism, music, and visual art.

The 25th edition of Tribeca continues to serve as a major cultural showcase in New York City, with high-profile appearances and curated programming spanning premieres, storytelling sessions, and industry events. The festival’s opening days highlighted both established stars and newer voices, reinforcing Tribeca’s role as a platform for celebrating creative work across different mediums.
