Madonna, 67, Stuns in Skintight Pink Corset During Surprise Times Square Concert in New York City

Madonna once again proved she can command attention with a surprise performance in New York City’s Times Square on Thursday evening. The 67-year-old pop icon appeared before a large crowd for a 15-minute pop-up concert that marked both the start of Pride Month and the promotion of her new album, “Confessions II.”
The unexpected show turned Times Square into a brief celebration of music, fashion and spectacle. Madonna performed in a striking pink corset worn over a frilly bodysuit, paired with a blue bra, pink arm gloves and matching thigh-highs. She completed the look with blue-tinted sunglasses, a chunky diamond necklace and silver knee-high boots, reinforcing the theatrical style that has long defined her career.
Fans quickly captured and shared footage from the performance on social media, helping the moment spread widely online. Despite its short duration, the concert featured dancers, a DJ and a rotating stage, creating a full-scale production in the middle of one of New York’s busiest public spaces.
Her set included some of her signature songs, among them “Hung Up” and “I Love New York,” both from her 2005 album “Confessions on a Dance Floor.” The selection fit the setting and the occasion, as the performance served as a tribute to the city and its energy.
“Confessions II,” released Wednesday, is being positioned as a sequel to the 2005 album that inspired the new project. Madonna previously described the record as a “love letter to dance music” and to the communities and spaces that bring people together through dance, celebration and connection. She told fans that the dance floor is not limited to a physical place, but can be anywhere people gather to share those experiences.
The surprise appearance followed another Pride Month message from Madonna earlier in the week, when she posted a video and wrote, “Nothing like a Mothers Love……Happy Pride month,” adding that she would see fans soon. The post reflected her ongoing engagement with Pride celebrations and her connection to LGBTQ audiences, who have long been a major part of her fan base.
Madonna has also been active on the live stage in recent months. In April, she joined Sabrina Carpenter as a special guest during Coachella weekend two, marking two decades since her own headlining set at the festival in 2006. She is also set to co-headline the first-ever halftime show at the FIFA World Cup 2026 alongside Shakira and BTS on July 19 at New York New Jersey Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
With her Times Square pop-up, Madonna delivered another reminder of her enduring ability to generate headlines, surprise audiences and turn a public appearance into a major pop culture moment.
