Teyana Taylor Wears Chanel Tweed Two Very Different Ways Over Two Days

Teyana Taylor continued her run as one of Matthieu Blazy’s standout Chanel muses with two fashion-forward appearances during the Tribeca Film Festival. Known for wearing fresh Chanel pieces straight from the runway, Taylor embraced the house’s signature tweed in two distinct looks that highlighted her increasingly close association with the brand and its evolving creative direction under Blazy.
For a Sunday panel tied to Chanel’s “Through Her Lens” initiative, Taylor arrived in a sharply tailored interpretation of tweed suiting. Her outfit centered on a heavily embroidered collarless jacket from Chanel’s spring 2026 collection, featuring thin and wide stripes in black, white, red, and gold that created a textured geometric effect. She paired the jacket with wide-cut deep brown trousers from the brand’s Métiers d’Art 2026 collection. Accessories added a playful but polished finish: a gold-toned Chanel pearl station necklace worn like a wallet chain, maroon-and-white cap-toed pumps, and a red New York Yankees baseball cap that introduced a sporty New York edge.
The next night, Taylor attended Chanel’s Tribeca Artists Dinner alongside other guests dressed in Chanel, including Katie Holmes, Whoopi Goldberg, and Keke Palmer. For the evening event, she chose a softer, more ornate take on the brand’s tweed tradition. Her look featured a sheer pale blue tweed-and-silk jacket with a matching knee-length skirt trimmed in lace. Dark maroon embroidery in a thin plaid pattern, marled edging, and twisted fabric details gave the ensemble depth while keeping Chanel’s classic tailoring at the center.
Taylor layered the outfit over a pale pink lace shirt decorated with small clear sequins, creating a romantic contrast beneath the structured outer pieces. She also wore an oversized white, red, and pink tweed collared jacket with four pockets and swirling silver buttons, adding another dimension to the layered Chanel look. The jacket’s tufted collar, cuffs, and trim were woven with black beads, reinforcing the brand’s signature emphasis on craft, texture, and embellishment. She completed the ensemble with the same maroon-and-white pumps from the previous day, a maroon leather top-handle Chanel bag, strands of white pearls, and oversized sunglasses with pearly frames.
Across both appearances, Taylor presented Chanel’s tweed suiting in two different registers: one crisp and graphic, the other airy and richly embellished. Her styling reinforced her reputation for favoring texture-driven fashion and underscored how Blazy’s Chanel is being interpreted through bold color, layered fabrics, and modern attitude. The outings also suggested that Taylor’s presence in Chanel will likely continue, especially from the front row.
