Stocks to Watch: Key Market Updates After June 8 Close to Impact Trading on June 9 Morning

Indian markets are expected to watch several corporate and regulatory developments on June 9, 2026, spanning telecom, infrastructure, banking, real estate, hotels, and industrial orders.

A major legal development came from the Bombay High Court, which granted relief to Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea in the One Time Spectrum Charges (OTSC) case. The court accepted the companies’ petitions, quashed all demand notices and orders issued by the central government on OTSC, and set aside related enforcement actions. The ruling is estimated to reduce liabilities by about Rs 20,000 crore in total, including around Rs 9,000 crore for Bharti Airtel and Rs 11,000 crore for Vodafone Idea. The court also directed the return of bank guarantees submitted by the companies. The case remains pending before the Supreme Court, so the matter is not fully closed yet, but the decision is seen as an important legal and financial relief, especially for Vodafone Idea.
