CJP Founder Abhijeet Dipke Says Cockroach Janta Party Is Now Evolving Into a Movement

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) will continue using constitutional and satirical means to amplify public voices, according to its founder, Abhijeet Dipke, who said the online political outfit aims to turn its viral attention into a lasting movement.

In a video posted on Instagram and X on Sunday, May 31, 2026, Dipke announced that he would return to India on June 6 and hold a peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. He reiterated the group’s demand for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Dipke said the CJP would rely on every legal and democratic avenue available to it, while continuing to use satire as a tool to draw attention to public issues. The movement, he said, is not meant to be a fleeting online trend but something more enduring.

According to Dipke, a petition hosted on the CJP website has already gathered more than eight lakh signatures, reflecting what he described as strong public support for the campaign. The petition and the group’s online presence have helped the CJP gain visibility across social media platforms.

Dipke, who was photographed at an undisclosed location in the United States on May 29, 2026, has presented himself as the face of the unconventional political campaign. He said the group’s actions are intended to remain peaceful and within constitutional limits, even as it uses humor and satire to make its case.

The CJP’s emergence online has drawn attention for its distinctive style and rapid spread across social platforms. Dipke said the organization intends to build on that momentum by continuing to engage supporters and by organizing public action in India.

The planned June 6 protest at Jantar Mantar is expected to be a key moment for the outfit as it seeks to translate online engagement into street-level demonstration. Dipke’s remarks suggest the group will keep pressing its demand for Pradhan’s resignation while framing its campaign as part of a broader democratic expression.

The CJP founder’s message underscored the group’s strategy of combining digital activism, satire, and formal protest. With its petition crossing eight lakh signatures and a return to India scheduled, the outfit is positioning itself for a new phase of activity centered on public mobilization and political pressure.
