Adriana Karembeu has reportedly declined Marc Lavoine’s marriage proposal, as her ongoing divorce from ex-husband Aram Ohanian remains unresolved. According to the French magazine Closer, the former model is still legally married despite publicly announcing her separation from Ohanian in December 2022. The delay appears tied to significant financial and administrative issues, making the divorce process more complicated than expected.
This situation contrasts with Marc Lavoine’s own legal status, as the singer is already officially divorced from his former wife, Line Papin. Their relationship has attracted attention because both he and Karembeu are now linked romantically, yet their future together is being slowed by Karembeu’s unfinished divorce proceedings. The legal impasse has become a central obstacle to any immediate wedding plans.
Karembeu has previously described herself as free in her autobiography published last year. She also spoke positively about Ohanian in the spring in an interview with Ciné-Télé-Revue, saying that they had lived together for 12 years and that she still loved her ex-husband. However, the tone of their relationship reportedly changed significantly after Ohanian publicly accused Karembeu of serious personal failings, including claiming that she was alcoholic, overly focused on money, and negatively influenced their daughter Nina’s upbringing. These accusations appear to have deepened the tensions between them and made the possibility of a friendly post-separation relationship far less likely.
The dispute has now left Karembeu in a difficult legal and emotional position. While she may be ready to move forward personally with Marc Lavoine, the formal end of her marriage has not yet been completed.
