Johnny Blue Skies Announces 2026 Tour Dates for “Mutiny After Midnight”

Johnny Blue Skies & The Dark Clouds, the Sturgill Simpson-led project, has announced a North American tour in support of its new album, Mutiny After Midnight. The run, titled Mutiny For The Masses, will take place from early September through late October 2026, giving fans their first major chance to hear the new material live after the album’s limited initial release.
Mutiny After Midnight arrived a couple of weeks ago and was made available primarily through physical formats, with only a brief window on YouTube. The new tour announcement extends the album’s rollout and brings the project back to the road after a period focused on the record’s release. The tour will visit major venues across the United States and Canada, including stops in Austin, Los Angeles, Seattle, Vancouver, Denver, Chicago, Nashville, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta and New Orleans.
Ticket sales for Mutiny For The Masses will begin with an artist pre-sale on April 8 at 10 a.m. local time, followed by the general on-sale on April 10 at 10 a.m. local time. Additional tour details are available through the band’s official tour website.
The schedule opens on September 4 in Austin, Texas, at Moody Center and continues through the Southwest and West Coast before moving into the Pacific Northwest and Canada. From there, the tour heads through the Mountain West and Midwest, then into a dense East Coast leg that includes stops in Boston, Philadelphia, Brooklyn and Washington, DC. The run wraps on October 30 in Lexington, Kentucky, at Rupp Arena.
The tour includes arena and theater dates, with performances set for venues such as Kia Forum in Inglewood, the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, United Center in Chicago, Bridgestone Arena in Nashville and Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The wide routing suggests a full-scale live campaign behind the album, with Johnny Blue Skies & The Dark Clouds preparing a major fall run.
Mutiny After Midnight features nine tracks, including “Make America Fuk Again,” “Excited Delirium,” “Don’t Let Go,” “Stay On That,” “Viridescent,” “Situation,” “Venus,” “Everyone Is Welcome” and “Ain’t That A Bitch.” The album is out now via High Top Mountain Records/Atlantic Outpost.
The project, which is led by Simpson, continues to blend country, rock and experimental influences while maintaining the songwriter’s reputation for sharp, provocative titles and a strong live following. With the new tour, the album’s material will now move from a limited release format to a full concert setting, where fans can hear the songs performed across North America throughout the fall.
