Donald Trump Says He Scored a Perfect 30/30 on Cognitive Test
Trump made similar remarks while speaking to supporters in The Villages, a conservative-leaning retirement community in Central Florida, where he mocked former presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden while promoting his own cognitive abilities. During the appearance, Trump said he believed Obama would not have passed the test and dismissed Biden with a brief insult. He then described a question he claimed appeared on the exam, saying it involved identifying a bear among a lion, giraffe, bear, and shark. Trump said the test became progressively harder and repeated his claim that medical professionals praised his performance. According to Trump, one doctor told him he was a “mad genius,” and he suggested that few people answered correctly while he did. He also said the exam included a difficult math section that required multiple calculations, adding that it was “a tough test.”
The comments came as Trump continued to highlight the test as evidence of his mental sharpness, contrasting himself with his political rivals. His remarks in The Villages drew attention because he used the moment to turn a medical assessment into a political comparison, portraying himself as more capable than Obama and Biden. He framed the exam as a serious challenge rather than a routine screening, emphasizing the difficulty of the questions and the supposed reaction of doctors to his results. Trump’s account focused on humor, self-praise, and criticism of opponents, blending campaign-style rhetoric with personal claims about his own intelligence.
