John Krasinski Directs Cillian Murphy and Jack O’Connell on Set of A Quiet Place Part III
The cast of A Quiet Place Part III was seen filming new scenes in New York City on Thursday, June 4, as production continues on the next chapter of the horror franchise. Photos from the set showed Cillian Murphy and newcomer Jack O’Connell shooting an intense action sequence, running through city streets while cameras rolled. Additional images captured Murphy between takes, suggesting the production was in the middle of a large outdoor scene.
Franchise creator John Krasinski was also present on set, where he is directing the latest installment of the series he launched in 2018. His involvement confirms that the film remains closely tied to the creative vision that shaped the previous entries in the franchise. The set images also showed Millicent Simmonds nearby during a break, holding a drink while not actively filming.
Simmonds and Murphy are both returning to reprise their roles from earlier films, with Simmonds playing Regan Abbott and Murphy returning as Emmett. The third film is expected to continue the story established in A Quiet Place Part II from 2020 and to serve as the conclusion to the trilogy that began with the original A Quiet Place.
The cast list also includes returning star Emily Blunt and Noah Jupe, who are set to appear again in the franchise. In addition, the film is bringing in new faces, with Katy O’Brian and Jason Clarke joining the ensemble alongside Jack O’Connell. Their additions suggest the film will expand the scope of the story while bringing back familiar characters from the earlier movies.
Production on the movie has already generated several on-set sightings in recent weeks. Alex Wolff was previously photographed on set in May, hinting that he will reprise his role as Reuben from the 2024 prequel A Quiet Place: Day One. That film starred Lupita Nyong’o and Joseph Quinn and helped broaden the franchise’s timeline and character connections.
More set photos shared last month also showed the cast filming a chaotic sequence in Manhattan, reinforcing the idea that the new movie will feature high-stakes action and tense urban survival scenes. With multiple cast members returning and new characters joining the story, A Quiet Place Part III appears to be building toward a major conclusion for the series.
