Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein Reportedly Had Secret Romance While Filming Office Romance

Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein have reportedly ended their brief romantic involvement and are now just friends, according to a source cited by Page Six. The pair, who co-star in Netflix’s upcoming romantic comedy Office Romance, are said to have developed a strong connection while filming, with the insider claiming their on-set chemistry was “undeniable.” Although they kept things professional during production, they were reportedly flirtatious at times and grew closer after filming wrapped.
The source said the two were seen getting especially close at the movie’s wrap party, which made their mutual attraction obvious to others present. Lopez, 56, and Goldstein, 45, also reportedly spent time together outside of work in early 2025, including attending the Broadway play Oh, Mary! in New York City. After production ended, the relationship allegedly continued for a period, but the insider said it eventually lost momentum and faded sometime after last year.
Despite the end of the romantic phase, the source stressed that there is no conflict between the two stars. They remain on good terms and are still friendly. According to the insider, there is “no bad blood,” and while they enjoyed each other’s company and had a strong physical attraction, they ultimately decided they were better suited to friendship than romance.
Goldstein, known for Ted Lasso, has long been vocal about his admiration for Lopez. Social media users resurfaced past podcast comments in which he praised her performance in Hustlers and openly expressed his enthusiasm for her. That history helped fuel speculation about a possible off-screen romance once the two began working together on Office Romance.
Rumors intensified when Lopez and Goldstein appeared together publicly, but Lopez later addressed the speculation during a live interview on NBC’s Today show. When asked by host Savannah Guthrie whether the rumors were true, Lopez pushed back against the idea that any co-star appearance automatically implies a relationship. Goldstein also responded, saying simply, “Correct,” after Lopez said they were not dating.
Office Romance was first announced in September 2024 and is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on June 5. The film has drawn attention not only for its romantic-comedy premise but also for the off-screen chatter surrounding its lead stars. While the reported relationship between Lopez and Goldstein appears to have ended, the two are said to have left things amicably and continue to maintain a professional and friendly dynamic.
