How to Watch Interview With the Vampire Season 3 for Free: Streaming Guide

AMC’s “Interview with the Vampire” returns for Season 3 on June 7, 2026, under the new title “The Vampire Lestat,” shifting the focus from Anne Rice’s first novel to the second book in the “Vampire Chronicles.” The new season moves the story into the present day and centers on Lestat, played by Sam Reid, as he becomes the lead singer of a rock band also called The Vampire Lestat. The band’s tour is described as a wild, sex-and-drugs-fueled journey that doubles as Lestat’s public response to the interview Daniel Molloy published about Louis de Pointe du Lac after the events of the first two seasons.
The season marks a major creative change for the series, with original music contributing to Lestat’s transformation into a rock star. Reid and series composer Daniel Hart created new songs for the show, helping establish the character’s rising fame and the new tone of the third season. While the title has changed, the series remains part of AMC and AMC+’s adaptation of Rice’s gothic horror universe.
“The Vampire Lestat” premieres on AMC+ at 12 a.m. PT and 3 a.m. ET on Sundays, with episodes also airing on the AMC linear channel at 9 p.m. ET. The new season is available only through AMC and AMC+ at launch, and it will not be released on Netflix right away, even though the first two seasons are already streaming there. AMC+ offers both an ad-supported plan and an ad-free plan, with subscribers to the AMC+ add-on through Amazon Prime Video able to access a seven-day free trial.
The returning main cast includes Jacob Anderson as Louis de Pointe du Lac, Sam Reid as Lestat de Lioncourt, Eric Bogosian as Daniel Molloy, and Assad Zaman as Armand. New cast members join the story as well, including Jennifer Ehle as Gabriella, Lestat’s mother and also a vampire. Additional band members are played by Noah Reid, Ryan Kattner, Seamus Patterson, and Sarah Swire. Sheila Atim joins the cast as Akasha, known in Rice’s novels as the “Mother of all Vampires.”
Season 3 will run for seven episodes, beginning with “Detroit” on June 7 and continuing weekly through July 19. Episode titles include “Toledo,” “Toronto,” “The Devil’s Road,” and “New York,” with the last two episodes scheduled for July 12 and July 19. The season expands the scope of the series while continuing the long-running conflict between Lestat, Louis, and Daniel, now framed through music, celebrity, and public reinvention.
