Did Ademir Have a Friendly Judge? Revelation Changes Adriana’s Case in Quem Ama Cuida

Pedro’s fight to prove Adriana’s innocence in Quem Ama Cuida will take a troubling new turn after he learns information that raises suspicions about his father, Ademir.
Adriana remains in jail after the court decides to keep her in preventive detention, despite her claims of innocence in the death of Arthur Brandão. As the investigation moves forward, she is transferred to a women’s prison, while Pilar celebrates another victory over her rival.
Pedro, played by Chay Suede, refuses to accept the speed and severity of the decisions against Adriana, the physiotherapist accused of killing the businessman. Determined to understand whether the case is being handled fairly, he digs deeper into the legal process and uncovers a disturbing detail: the judge responsible for denying Adriana’s release is friends with Ademir.
The revelation alarms Pedro because it suggests the possibility of bias in a case already marked by tension and suspicion. His distrust grows even stronger because Ademir, portrayed by Dan Stulbach, has been working directly against Adriana’s interests since Arthur’s death. Hired by Pilar to represent the Brandão family, the lawyer has been trying to support the theory that the widow is guilty.
Pedro also knows that his father has a history of bribing judges and using corrupt deals to influence court rulings. For that reason, the friendship between Ademir and the judge immediately makes him question whether the decisions against Adriana were truly impartial.
The discovery deepens the conflict between father and son and pushes Pedro to suspect that the pressure on Adriana may be part of a much larger scheme than he first imagined. Instead of giving up, he decides to launch a new investigation to find out whether there was improper interference in the case.
While Pilar continues to celebrate every setback faced by Adriana, Pedro becomes more determined to uncover the truth and expose any hidden manipulation surrounding the prosecution.
Quem Ama Cuida, written by Walcyr Carrasco and Claudia Souto, is set in São Paulo and directed artistically by Amora Mautner. The telenovela is expected to remain on air until January 2027.
