Diablo IV 3.1 PTR: Everything You Need to Know from Blizzard News

Blizzard has announced the Diablo IV 3.1.0 Public Test Realm, which will run from June 2 at 10:00 a.m. PDT to June 9 at 10:00 a.m. PDT. The PTR gives players an early look at features planned for the next season across both the Eternal and Seasonal Realms, with the studio using feedback to refine balance, fix bugs, and adjust systems before release.
A major focus of the test is Season 14 content and broader systems changes. Blizzard says the PTR will preview new mechanics including Pandemonium Ruptures, Realmwalker 2.0, the Deathtoll Chamber, a new monster family called The Risen, and a seasonal lair boss. It will also test updates to Solo Self Found mode, the Tower and Leaderboards, War Plans, the Horadric Cube, and general gameplay systems.
Pandemonium Ruptures are a new activity centered on arcane rifts that appear throughout Sanctuary. Players can open and extend these rifts by defeating guardians and keeping the rupture alive, with more rewards for longer runs. Bigger versions of the event will appear in Helltides and, in the largest form, in the Fields of Desecration. Completing certain rupture types can also summon the returning Realmwalker, which opens access to the Deathtoll Chamber.
The Deathtoll Chamber is a compact mini-dungeon designed as a reward-focused encounter. Inside, players can complete special rupture activity for extra loot and earn Betrayer’s Husks, a key item needed to open the seasonal lair boss’s rewards cache in higher difficulty tiers.
Blizzard is also introducing Mythic Uniques 3.0, a major change that turns Mythic into an item quality rather than a fixed rarity. In Season 14, any Unique item can potentially become Mythic through drops or Horadric Cube upgrades. Mythic Uniques will gain a 30% increase to their Unique powers, and players will be able to earn the materials needed through seasonal progression, the new boss, or reputation rewards.
Solo Self Found is another headline feature. The mode locks characters into seasonal play without parties or trading, while maintaining their own separate stash, currency, and Paragon progression. Exclusive Tower leaderboards will track solo accomplishments, with separate filters for Solo Self Found and Hardcore Solo Self Found.
The PTR also includes major reward updates for Tower and Leaderboards, with weekly and seasonal cosmetic rewards, including halos and prestige titles. Blizzard is expanding party-friendly War Plans features, updating Horadric Cube rerolls, and raising certain currency caps. Numerous class balance changes are also included for Paladin, Spiritborn, Warlock, Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Rogue, and Sorcerer, alongside bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements.
Players can access the PTR through the Battle.net app, install the test client, and submit feedback through in-game tools or the PTR forums.
