Charlie Puth Postpones Show Due to Illness
Charlie Puth has canceled his Saturday night concert in Orlando, Florida, after falling ill. The singer shared the news on his Instagram Story, explaining that he had been sick for several days and was advised to rest in order to avoid worsening his condition and potentially forcing him to cancel additional shows on his current tour. Puth said the decision was heartbreaking, but he was physically unable to perform and could not deliver the show fans deserved without his voice.
In his message to fans, Puth apologized for the last-minute cancellation and said performing every night means everything to him. He emphasized that he did not take the decision lightly and hoped to return once he has recovered. The Orlando stop was part of his ongoing “Whatever’s Clever!” world tour, which shares its name with his fourth studio album.
The tour began on April 22 in San Diego and is scheduled to conclude on July 30 in Warsaw, Poland. Before the cancellation, Puth still had four remaining U.S. dates on the calendar: June 9 in Nashville, June 11 in Austin, June 12 in Irving, Texas, and June 13 in Houston. His team has not announced whether the Orlando show will be rescheduled or if ticket holders will receive refunds or other options.
Puth, a four-time Grammy nominee, has been touring in support of his latest album and recent material. His live shows have drawn strong crowds and positive attention, with the tour highlighting both early songs and some of his biggest hits. A recent review of his April 29 performance at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum noted that Puth’s audience appeared deeply familiar with his catalog, from early breakout tracks to major singles that helped establish him as a mainstream pop artist.
The cancellation comes as Puth continues a busy international run, making the Orlando date one of the few U.S. stops left before the tour moves overseas. For fans in Florida, the announcement was disappointing, but Puth’s message made clear that protecting his health was the priority. He asked for understanding and reassured supporters that he hopes to see them again once he is well.
Fans attending the remaining dates will now be watching closely for updates on his recovery and whether the rest of the tour proceeds as planned.
