Love Island USA Season 8 returned to Peacock on Tuesday, June 2, bringing a new group of singles to a luxury villa in Fiji as they began the search for romance and a chance to win $100,000. The season follows the familiar format of the franchise, adapted from the popular U.K. series, with islanders pairing up at the start of the competition before facing relationship challenges and the arrival of bombshell contestants intended to disrupt established couples and create new drama.
Ariana Madix is back as host for her third straight season. She said she is often surprised by which contestants end up coupling together and noted that chemistry can sometimes be easier to sense in person than it appears on camera. Her return gives the season continuity as the show introduces a fresh cast and new twists.

Before the season began, Peacock confirmed that one cast member, Vasana Montgomery of Beaverton, Oregon, was removed after social media videos surfaced showing her using a racial slur. According to reporting cited by The New York Times, the footage was not publicly available until after the cast announcement. The removal follows a similar situation from Season 7, when two contestants were also dismissed for using racial slurs in past videos.
With Montgomery out, 11 islanders entered the villa for the season premiere. The cast includes a mix of professions and backgrounds, including a marketing professional, a nursing assistant, a nursing school graduate, a police officer, a DJ, a model, an athlete, a bikini store manager, a digital creator, and a trilingual contestant from Brazil. The group also includes Zach Georgiou, the brother of Charlie Georgiou, who appeared on Love Island USA Season 7.
One of the most notable new contestants is Beatriz Hatz, a professional athlete and Team USA Paralympian. Hatz was born with a rare birth defect that led to the amputation of her right leg. She competed in the Paralympic Games in both 2020 and 2024, adding another distinctive storyline to the season’s cast.
The islanders currently listed in the villa are Aniya Harvey, 23, from Tyrone, Georgia; Beatriz Hatz, 25, from San Diego, California; Bryce Dettloff, 29, from Los Angeles; Gabriel Vasconcelos, 26, from Miami; KC Chandler, 23, from Fresno; Kenzie Annis, 24, from Kennesaw, Georgia; Melanie Moreno, 24, from Los Angeles; Sean Reifel, 29, from Easton, Pennsylvania; Sincere Rhea, 25, from Cape May, New Jersey; Trinity Tatum, 22, from Newport News, Virginia; and Zach Georgiou, 26, from Birmingham, U.K.
As the season progresses, more bombshells are expected to arrive and test the existing pairings. The early episodes are expected to focus on first impressions, romantic connections, and the shifting alliances that have become a signature part of the Love Island format.
