Jennifer Lopez Shuts Down Brett Goldstein Dating Question on Today With Savannah Guthrie

Jennifer Lopez directly denied rumors that she is dating her “Office Romance” co-star Brett Goldstein during a tense exchange on Tuesday’s “Today” show. While promoting their new Netflix romantic comedy, Savannah Guthrie asked the pair whether speculation about their offscreen chemistry was real, prompting Lopez to say that people often try to link her romantically with co-stars whenever she is seen working closely with them. Goldstein joked that simply standing near her seems to spark the rumors, and Guthrie pushed back, saying Lopez had not fully answered the question.
Lopez then clarified that she is “not dating,” while Goldstein also confirmed, “Correct.” Guthrie continued to press the topic before Lopez repeated that these kinds of rumors happen constantly and “doesn’t make it true.” The conversation became playful at times, with Guthrie later admitting she had gotten flustered during the interview after misplacing her cue cards, and Lopez laughing that the host had tried to fluster them first.
The dating speculation has followed Lopez and Goldstein throughout the press tour for “Office Romance,” which is set to debut on Netflix on Friday. In the film, Lopez plays Jacqueline Cruz, a CEO who falls for her new hire, Daniel Blanchflower, played by Goldstein. At the movie’s New York premiere last month, Lopez said their chemistry developed naturally while filming and described Goldstein as kind, gentle, smart and charming. Goldstein, who co-wrote the film with Joe Kelly, said he had always envisioned Lopez as his co-star and called her the best rom-com star for the role.
The two actors appear to be single. Goldstein’s only publicly known relationship was with British comedian Beth Rylance in 2021. Lopez has been married four times and filed for divorce from Ben Affleck in August 2024, months before “Office Romance” began filming. She was previously married to Marc Anthony, Chris Judd and Ojani Noa.
