Summer House’s KJ Says West Is “Not Learning” From His Mistakes

KJ Dillard is speaking out about the ongoing fallout surrounding West Wilson and Amanda Batula’s relationship, saying he no longer feels convinced that West is truly sorry for his actions. During a Tuesday, June 2 appearance on the “More Life With Carl Radke” podcast, the Summer House newcomer said he gives people grace for their mistakes, but he believes West is repeating the same patterns without real change.

KJ said he has been watching and hearing things about the situation and is left questioning West’s intentions. He compared West’s behavior to painful experiences from his own life, saying he has dealt with “wishy-washy” men and recurring apology cycles, including with his father. According to KJ, those experiences make it especially frustrating to see someone promise to do better and then continue the same behavior.

The reality star said the drama hit harder because West was already someone he knew before joining Summer House, and he had hoped for more honesty from him. KJ said he felt disappointed that West had allegedly lied “straight to all of our faces,” adding that while West can make his own choices, the situation still felt personal. He described the entire dynamic as hurtful, especially because he had also formed a close friendship with Ciara Miller during filming.

KJ also weighed in on West’s behavior during the season 10 reunion, saying West did not show much emotion and did not protect Amanda. West and Amanda confirmed in late March that they were dating after weeks of speculation, despite Amanda’s previous marriage to Kyle Cooke and West’s past relationship with Ciara in 2023.

The tension between KJ and West had already been building before the podcast appearance. KJ previously called out West for flirting with his girlfriend, Dara Levitan, sharing a clip in mid-May that appeared to show West complimenting Dara’s outfit. That moment added another layer to the strained dynamic between the two men.

KJ also addressed the message West eventually sent him after not reaching out earlier about the Amanda situation. On the May 6 episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, KJ read West’s text live on air, which many viewers interpreted as a major update in the feud. KJ said on the podcast that he did not read the message for attention, but because he was unsure what it would say and wanted clarity. He described the message as giving him some closure, though he said he does not know whether he will ever speak to West again.

Part 2 of the Summer House reunion is scheduled to air on Bravo on Tuesday, June 2, at 8 p.m. ET, as the cast continues to address the personal and relationship fallout from the season.
