Diddy Investigation Could Lead to New Sexual Battery Charges and Additional Jail Time

Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing fresh legal trouble as Los Angeles prosecutors reportedly review whether to file additional criminal charges based on allegations made by music publicist Jonathan Hay. According to TMZ, detectives have already investigated the matter and submitted their findings to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, which is now deciding whether the case warrants prosecution.
Hay first reported the allegations to police in September 2025, claiming that Combs sexually battered him on two separate occasions, once in 2020 and again in 2021. The alleged incidents are said to have happened while Hay was working on a project involving CJ Wallace, the son of the late Notorious B.I.G.
In his account, Hay says the first incident took place in September 2020 when he was alone with Combs. He claims Combs masturbated into one of Biggie’s shirts, threw the garment at him, and made a sexual demand. Hay also alleges that a second encounter happened in March 2021 after he returned to Los Angeles to continue the project, and that Combs forced oral sex on him after accusing him of being a “snitch.”
These accusations are not new. Hay previously filed a civil lawsuit against Combs and has continued to stand by his account. He publicly rejected Combs’ denials last month, saying that the encounter was not consensual and that he was held against his will.
Combs’ legal team has denied the allegations.
The possible new case adds to an already severe legal situation for the Bad Boy Records founder. Combs is currently serving a federal prison sentence after being convicted in 2025 for violating the Mann Act by transporting people across state lines for prostitution-related purposes. He was acquitted of racketeering and sex-trafficking charges, but he remains incarcerated. His current release date is scheduled for 2028.
For now, prosecutors have not filed any new charges. However, if the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office determines that the evidence supports Hay’s claims, Combs could face another criminal case on top of the one already keeping him in prison.
The development marks another major setback for Combs, whose legal battles have continued to expand over the past year. With multiple allegations, a federal conviction, and a possible new prosecution under review, the music mogul’s legal troubles show no sign of ending soon.
