Off Campus Star Antonio Cipriano Opens Up About Grace and Logan’s Romance in Season 2
Prime Video’s adaptation of Elle Kennedy’s Off Campus is moving ahead with its next chapter, and while Season 1 centers on Garrett Graham and Hannah Wells, the series is already setting up the romance between John Logan and Grace Ivers for a future storyline. In a recent interview, Antonio Cipriano, who plays Logan, said viewers will first get to know Logan as a person before his love story fully begins, allowing audiences to understand his struggles before Grace enters his life and helps break down his emotional walls.
Cipriano said he is glad the character is not introduced as being in love in the first season, because it gives the show room to establish who Logan is before the romance develops. He also confirmed that Grace will appear in Season 2, teasing that their relationship will begin to take shape there, though he noted the full direction of the storyline is still being worked out.
The actor also discussed the casting process for Grace, saying he read with three different actresses, each of whom brought something distinct to the role. Ultimately, India Fowler was cast, and Cipriano praised her performance and her natural fit for the character. He said Fowler’s quirkiness felt true to the books, and that her energy gave Grace the unpredictable charm the role needed. He added that when the team reviewed the chemistry reads, the producers noted that she had the kind of spontaneous quality that perfectly matches Grace’s personality.
Cipriano also spoke about what excites him most about a possible season centered on The Mistake, the book that follows Logan and Grace. He said he loves the novel’s romantic tone, its ending, and especially the memorable meeting scene between the characters. While the show has not yet revealed exactly how those moments will be adapted, he said he is looking forward to seeing how the series brings those fan-favorite scenes to life if and when that season arrives.
In the Off Campus universe, Logan is Garrett’s best friend and a right wing on the Briar Hawks hockey team. Grace is introduced as a freshman sociology major who catches his attention, setting up one of the franchise’s most beloved relationships. The television version of the series, created by Louisa Levy for television, follows a college hockey team and the women in their lives as they navigate romance, heartbreak, identity, and the challenges of adulthood.
Season 1 of Off Campus focused on the “opposites attract” relationship between Hannah, played by Ella Bright, and hockey star Garrett, played by Belmont Cameli. Their fake dating arrangement helped launch the series and introduced the broader ensemble of players whose stories are expected to anchor future seasons. The first season also helped establish the show as a major success for Prime Video, with the streamer quickly renewing it for Season 2 after strong viewing performance.
Season 2 is expected to start production in Canada soon, marking the next step in Prime Video’s adaptation of the popular college romance series.
