Jeezy Brings His Hits to Legend of the Snowman Residency

Jeezy’s “Legend of the Snowman” residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas is turning his trap catalog into a full-scale spectacle, blending icy street anthems with orchestral arrangements and cinematic staging. Over Memorial Day weekend, the Grammy-nominated rapper returned to the PH Live stage for his second weekend of performances, following an opening run that featured special appearances from 2 Chainz and YG. The latest shows continued the pattern of star-powered surprises, with Bun B, Usher, and Fabolous joining the celebration and helping fuel a high-energy crowd response.
Backed by the Color of Noize Orchestra, under the direction of Derrick Hodge and musical direction from Adam Blackstone, Jeezy delivered a performance that elevated rap concert production into something closer to a theatrical experience. Strings, brass, woodwinds, and a powerful rhythm section added dramatic weight to his biggest records, creating a backdrop that amplified the emotion and intensity behind his lyrics. The residency is structured into three acts, titled “The Man, The Myth, and The Legend,” and Jeezy opened the night with “Mr. 17.5” before moving through a catalog of hits that have defined his career.
Dressed in a sharply tailored tuxedo with luxury detailing, Jeezy embraced the polished image of a trap icon who has evolved far beyond the streets that inspired his early music. The setlist included fan favorites such as “All There,” “I Love It,” “Standing Ovation,” “And Then What,” and “Lose My Mind,” along with “Geek’d Up,” “Who Dat,” “Dey Know,” “Super Freak,” and “Bottom of the Map.” Throughout the night, fans rapped along word for word, while the orchestra gave familiar songs new dramatic texture.
Visual production played a major role in the show, especially during “Dreaming,” when deep red lighting and motivational phrases like “Trust Ya Process,” “Keep Going,” and “Be Undeniable” filled the stage. The residency’s presentation framed Jeezy’s music as more than a collection of songs, instead casting it as a narrative of survival, ambition, and perseverance.
One of the evening’s biggest moments came when Bun B joined Jeezy for “Trap or Die” before launching into “International Players Anthem (I Choose You)” and delivering Pimp C’s verse. Jeezy honored UGK and reflected on their influence on his career, reinforcing the connection between Southern rap generations. Usher and Fabolous also made appearances during the weekend, adding to the sense that the residency has become a must-see event on the Las Vegas Strip.
The residency arrives after Jeezy’s sold-out “TM:101 Live” tour, which celebrated the 20th anniversary of his debut album, Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101. That orchestral-backed tour helped lay the foundation for his first Las Vegas residency in 2025 and this expanded return. With “Legend of the Snowman,” Jeezy continues to prove that his music remains powerful, enduring, and deeply resonant — trap testimony transformed into symphonic survival stories.
