007 First Light Launches With Lana Del Rey Theme Song

Amazon MGM Studios and IO Interactive have launched “007 First Light,” a new James Bond video game that reimagines the spy’s origin story. The game follows a 26-year-old Bond as he works through MI6’s elite training program, marking the first James Bond game in 15 years. According to the official description, players will watch Bond rise from recruit to fully fledged spy as his instincts, resourcefulness and heroism carry him into high-stakes covert missions.

The project features an original theme by Lana Del Rey and longtime Bond composer David Arnold, who scored five James Bond films. The voice cast includes Gemma Chan, Lenny Kravitz, Patrick Gibson, Priyanga Burford and Alastair McKenzie.

IO Interactive CEO Hakan Abrak said the studio aimed to honor the legacy of 007 while creating a distinct Bond experience. He described this version of the character as one still finding his footing, allowing players to grow with Bond as he develops the instincts, intelligence and resolve that define the iconic spy.

“007 First Light” is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is scheduled for summer 2026.

The update also highlights other gaming news this week, including “Disney Dreamlight Valley’s” upcoming free expansion, “A Hero’s Journey.” Set for release on June 3 across all platforms, the update will add Hercules and Phil from Disney’s 1997 animated film “Hercules.” In the new content, players will enter a new Realm door, explore a darkened training island, complete heroic trials and team up with Hercules to defeat a mysterious force threatening the island.

“Disney Dreamlight Valley” has previously expanded with characters and worlds inspired by “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” “Aladdin,” “Alice in Wonderland,” “Tangled,” “Brave” and “Sleeping Beauty.” Hades, another character from “Hercules,” was added to the game in 2024.
