Carl Radke Criticizes West Wilson for Avoiding Accountability

Carl Radke says he is “still a mess” as he reflects on the explosive “Summer House” season 10 reunion and the fallout surrounding West Wilson and Amanda Batula. Speaking at the Carl’s Not a Mess event in Brooklyn on Tuesday, May 26, Radke told Us Weekly that he was hoping to hear a genuine apology and see real accountability from the cast members involved, but said he did not feel that had happened. He said the reunion left him focused on the pain felt by people caught in the drama, especially after watching the events play out on screen.
Radke described the reunion footage as difficult to process, pointing to scenes involving West at his family home with Kyle Cooke and the way the season’s relationship drama unfolded. He said the behavior shown in the clips felt “diabolical” and made it hard for him to watch. Kyle said during the reunion that he had once considered West a close friend before the relationship conflict escalated, while Amanda and West denied that their situation amounted to a “sex scandal.” The central issue for the cast has been the secrecy and dishonesty surrounding Amanda and West’s romance before it became public in late March.
After seeing the season in a new context, Radke said he now views Amanda and West’s actions differently. He criticized West’s physical behavior toward Amanda, saying it upset him to watch moments that have already been heavily discussed online. Radke said he does not like what he saw and believes the behavior raises troubling questions. He added that the reunion only deepened doubts for him, and that some of the cast’s behavior continues to be questioned even after filming wrapped.
Radke also suggested that there may be more developments to come in the Amanda-West conversation. He said that while the reunion allowed everyone to speak openly, recent podcasts and public sightings have made him think the story is not fully resolved. In his view, a real apology would need to be backed by changed behavior, not just words. He said the situation felt manipulative, deceitful, and unlike anything he had experienced during his time on the show.
Despite the controversy, Radke said he is staying focused on his life outside the drama, including his Soft Bar business and sobriety. He said his partnership with Gonna Need Milk made sense because he enjoys milk-based drinks and sees them as a fun option for people who do not drink alcohol. Radke added that he has been drinking milk since childhood and jokingly credited it for his height and health. Part 2 of the “Summer House” season 10 reunion airs Tuesday, June 2, on Bravo, and all episodes of the season are streaming on Peacock.
