CD Projekt Red has announced a special livestream to celebrate the anniversary of The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine, the acclaimed expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The broadcast will feature Kacper Niepokólczycki, art director and environments director at the studio, alongside Magdalena Zych, a writer and story coordinator. According to CD Projekt Red, the two will return to “the land of knights, vineyards, and vampires,” a reference to the expansion’s setting in Toussaint.
The studio did not disclose what will be shown during the presentation, leaving fans to speculate about possible announcements. One theory circulating among the community is that CD Projekt Red could use the occasion to reveal a new DLC for The Witcher 3. Some fans believe such content could serve as a bridge to The Witcher 4, extending the story and connecting the older game to the franchise’s next major entry.
Another possibility being discussed is a version of The Witcher 3 for Nintendo Switch 2. The upgraded hardware of Nintendo’s new console has fueled expectations that older games could receive enhanced releases, and CD Projekt Red’s event has prompted speculation that the company may have something planned for the platform.
For now, the contents of the livestream remain unknown. CD Projekt Red has only confirmed the participation of the two developers and the celebratory theme tied to Blood and Wine. The announcement has nonetheless sparked interest among fans eager for news about the future of the Witcher franchise.
The livestream is scheduled to begin at 11:45 a.m. Brasília time on the studio’s official channel.
