How I Met Your Mother Actor Accused of Brutal Attack on Ex-Girlfriend

According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, the criminal case against actor Randy Gregory Pasqual stems from a violent attack on his former girlfriend, makeup artist Allie Shehorn, in May 2024. Friends of Shehorn told KTLA that Pasqual allegedly broke into her Los Angeles home at 4:40 a.m. on May 23, 2024, and stabbed her multiple times. At the time of the attack, Shehorn had a restraining order filed against Pasqual.

Then-Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón condemned the incident in a statement, calling it a horrific act of domestic violence and saying the victim and her family would receive support and resources from his office. He said the case was a stark reminder of the dangers of domestic abuse and vowed that the person responsible would be held accountable.

Shehorn’s surrogate mother, Christine White, also spoke to KTLA about the aftermath of the attack. She said she found Shehorn and had to go into the bedroom where the violence occurred, describing the scene as deeply disturbing. White added that it was the kind of tragedy no one expects to experience in their own life.

Shehorn was left critically injured, suffering multiple cuts to her neck, arms, and abdomen. She was rushed to the intensive care unit and underwent 14 hours of life-saving surgery. Her recovery was expected to be long and difficult because of both the physical wounds and the emotional trauma caused by the attack.

In response to the incident, Shehorn’s friends created a GoFundMe campaign to help with living expenses and medical support during her recovery. The fundraising page remains active as the case continues.

The case has drawn attention because of the severity of the attack and the restraining order that was already in place before the alleged stabbing. Prosecutors have framed the incident as an example of the serious risks posed by domestic violence and the need for accountability in such cases.
