Khloé Kardashian Says Daughter True Thompson Has an Elevated Way of Wearing XO Blue Perfume
Khloé Kardashian’s new fragrance, XO Blue, has already received a family seal of approval from her 8-year-old daughter, True Thompson. Ahead of the perfume’s launch event in Malibu, California, on June 16, Kardashian said True has developed an interest in scents and sometimes uses her mother’s perfumes, though in a careful, age-appropriate way. According to Kardashian, True keeps a Squishmallows fragrance on her counter and has also been known to try some of Kardashian’s scents, but she sprays them on her clothes rather than directly on her body. Kardashian said she approves of this approach and noted that she likes seeing her daughter be thoughtful and creative.
Kardashian also reflected on her own childhood beauty habits, saying that when she was younger she and others would use Bath & Body Works products very heavily. Her daughter’s restrained method, she said, is a much more “elevated” version of how she used fragrance as a child.
XO Blue is described by Kardashian as a tropical, vacation-inspired scent with woody coconut notes that make her feel transported to a beach and reminded of a piña colada. She said the perfume is meant to be wearable while still evoking a summer escape. For Kardashian, the goal of the fragrance goes beyond scent alone. She said she wants people to feel sexy and confident at their core, not just through outward appearance.
Kardashian said the fragrance is intended to create an energetic feeling of femininity and self-assurance, adding that she wants wearers to feel powerful, stylish and ready to take on anything. She described the scent as something that fits easily with warm-weather clothing such as summer dresses and tank tops.
Outside of beauty, Kardashian also discussed her wellness routine, saying she values peptides, vitamins and staying active. She said there is no single solution that makes everything better, but that she focuses on a balanced approach to health and feeling good.
