WWE Raw Live Updates, Grades and Results for June 8 Paris Show
WWE Raw on Monday, June 8, from Accor Arena in France delivered a title-heavy show built around the mid-card and the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments. The card opened with two championship matches and continued to spotlight several wrestlers looking to secure momentum on the road to WWE’s next major title opportunities.
The women’s division kicked things off with a strong defense from Women’s Intercontinental Champion Sol Ruca, who retained her title against Lyra Valkyria. The match was fast-paced and athletic, with both competitors trading technical exchanges, aerial offense and counters throughout. Valkyria came close on several occasions, but Ruca ultimately escaped a late scramble and finished the bout with the Sol Snatcher to keep her championship. The win marked a successful first defense for Ruca and reinforced her status as a rising champion in the division.
The men’s Intercontinental Championship match followed, with Penta defending against Rey Mysterio in a matchup that drew heavy crowd interest. The two luchadors delivered a highly physical and entertaining contest filled with signature offense, reversals and near falls. Rey landed the 619 and went for a Frog Splash, but Penta recovered, avoided the finish and scored the victory with the Mexican Destroyer. Although Penta retained the title, the match made Mysterio look exceptionally strong and underlined the respect both men received from the Paris audience.
After the match, the action did not stop. Ethan Page and Rusev attacked both Penta and Mysterio, escalating the chaos until Dragon Lee arrived to help even the odds. Page then turned his attention to Lee, while Rusev shocked the crowd by tearing off Rey Mysterio’s mask, a deeply personal and provocative act. Chad Gable later appeared and unleashed a burst of powerful German suplexes on Page and Rusev to a major reaction, suggesting that his storyline may be moving in a new direction. Gable eventually returned Rey’s mask, adding more intrigue to the ongoing angle surrounding identity and respect.
The women’s Queen of the Ring quarterfinal match saw Liv Morgan defeat Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss and Chelsea Green in a multi-woman bout centered around Judgment Day-related drama and Morgan’s ongoing championship picture. Morgan’s win keeps her moving forward in the tournament and leaves open the possibility of another major title run.
The show also featured a heated King of the Ring segment involving LA Knight, Jey Uso and the larger Bloodline storyline. Knight delivered one of the night’s strongest promos, framing himself as an “unchosen” but self-made contender while criticizing authority and the Bloodline’s influence. Jey Uso interrupted, leading to a tense verbal exchange that highlighted the growing frustration around Knight’s path in the tournament.
The night’s most anticipated tournament match was the King of the Ring quarterfinal, where Seth Rollins competed in a high-profile four-way with Je’Von Evans, Ricky Saints and Talla Tonga. Rollins was positioned as a strong favorite entering the night, and the match was presented as a major step toward WWE’s long-term main-event plans.
Overall, Raw in France emphasized championship wrestling, character advancement and tournament stakes, with Rey Mysterio, Penta, Sol Ruca, Lyra Valkyria, Liv Morgan, LA Knight and Seth Rollins all playing central roles in a packed and energetic broadcast.
