Michael C. Hall and Uma Thurman were seen filming new scenes for Dexter: Resurrection season 2 in Uptown Manhattan on Friday, June 5, as production continued on the Showtime and Paramount+ series. The actors were photographed on location with director Marcos Siega while cameras rolled in the neighborhood. At one point, Hall appeared to be chatting with Thurman while leaning against a black SUV before walking through the area as filming went on.
For the day’s shoot, Hall wore a casual outfit consisting of a charcoal short-sleeve button-down shirt, black pants, and dark sneakers. Thurman appeared in an all-black look that included a cropped leather jacket, belted trousers, loafers, and aviator-style sunglasses. The photos captured the cast and crew working outdoors in Manhattan as the show’s second season moved forward.
Dexter: Resurrection picks up the story from Dexter: New Blood. In the first season of the continuation series, Dexter Morgan woke up from a coma after being shot by his son, Harrison, and headed to New York City in search of him, only for his past to catch up with him. The new series continues that storyline with Michael C. Hall returning as the title character.
In April, it was announced that Succession star Brian Cox had joined the second season as a series regular, adding another major name to the cast. Production on season 2 began earlier this year after the series received a renewal in October 2025. The ongoing filming in Manhattan suggests the new season is actively expanding the story after the strong response to the show’s return.
The sighting of Hall and Thurman on set adds to the growing attention around the next chapter of the Dexter franchise. With cameras rolling in New York City and new cast members joining the production, Dexter: Resurrection season 2 is continuing development as one of Showtime and Paramount+’s notable scripted titles.
